Who we are

What we collect

• To sign you in: your mobile number, verified with a one-time code, and the name and email address you give us for your invoices.
• To fulfil an order: the delivery address, the recipient's name and phone number, your GSTIN if you ask for a business invoice, and the pieces you ordered.
• To take payment: Razorpay processes your card, UPI or bank details on its own systems; we receive only a payment reference, the method used and the amount. We never see or store card numbers.
• To deliver: the courier receives your name, address, phone number and the parcel's declared value.
• On the site: the pieces you look at, save or add to your bag, and, if you consent to analytics cookies, anonymised usage data.

How we use it

• To take, deliver and invoice your order, send you order updates by email, and handle replacements, exchanges and repairs.
• To keep the GST records the law requires us to keep (invoices are kept for eight years).
• To prevent fraud, for example confirming a cash-on-delivery phone number with a one-time code.
• With your consent, to send you our monthly letter and to understand how the site is used. You can withdraw consent at any time from the link in each letter or the cookie settings in the footer.

Who we share it with

Only with the services that help us run the store, each bound by contract to use your data for that purpose alone: our payment gateway (Razorpay), our courier partners (through Shiprocket), the services that send our one-time codes and emails, our hosting providers in India, and our accountants for GST filing. We do not sell personal data. We disclose it to authorities only when the law requires.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your bag; they are always on. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them on the banner, and you can change your mind at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask to see, correct or erase the personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent you have given, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Write to care@elegents.example; we answer within 30 days. Order and invoice records must be kept for the period tax law requires even after an erasure request. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to our Grievance Officer (grievance@elegents.example) and then to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit and stored on servers in India with access limited to the staff who need it. Account data is kept while your account is active and for two years after your last order; invoices for eight years; analytics data for 14 months.
